Val tried to get up off of Hans’s lap but he held her hips firmly.

“Val, what’s wrong? That was incredible.”

She wiped her eyes. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to get emotional,” she said and looked down.

“It was hot, and beautiful,” Cedar said to her.

“We didn’t even go on a date yet,” she said and they squinted.

“We’re all adults here, and if the attraction, the need and desire is there, we should let go and feel more,” Chase said to her.

She shook her head.

“I have to be careful. I don’t want to get hurt, and if things don’t work out then it makes matters worse for me, not you.”

“It’s going to work out fine. Just follow your heart, your instincts,” Cedar said to her. She shook her head.

“Someone hurt you?” Vulta asked her.

“What?” Hans asked. Vulta caressed her bare thigh.

“Some guy break your heart?”

“Yes.”

“Well, obviously he’s an asshole. You’re fucking perfect,” Hans said to her and she chuckled. He didn’t quite smile and she realized he was being serious.

“Thanks.”

“So what was the deal with this dick?” Chase asked.

“I’d rather not say.”

“I think we should get this out of the way, especially so it doesn’t interfere with us doing some more exploring at the end of our date,” Chase teased and winked.

She chuckled. “You sound awfully confident, Chase.”

“You were awfully wet for us, which means the attraction is mutual,” he replied. She nibbled her bottom lip.

“I had a boyfriend for almost a year. I fell in love with him, and I gave him my body, my heart and soul. He was my first and only lover.”

“First and only? You mean—”

She nodded at Hans. “No one else but him.”

“What happened?” Vulta asked.

“He lied to me.”

“He cheated on you?” Chase asked.

“He was married,” she told them.

“What the fuck?” Cedar asked.

Tears filled her eyes as she told them what happened, and what he said to her and promised her and how she discovered he was married and having a baby with his wife. “They were all lies, and I believed him. I gave him every bit of me.”

“This was two years ago? You haven’t been with anyone since him?” Vulta asked.

“No one. That’s why it was so crazy that I accepted hanging out with you guys and then this tonight. God, I’m so scared,” she said and covered her face with her hands.

“Oh, baby, don’t be scared. We’re glad you told us,” Hans said as he caressed her arms.

Vulta squeezed her thigh and eased his hand along her groin. “We aren’t him. We’re older and we know what we want.”

“He was older too. A soldier,” she added.

“Well, he definitely lost out not holding on to you. You’re gorgeous, and sexy, so giving and sweet, and you smell really good too,” Cedar said and nuzzled against her neck and made her giggle. He lifted her up off of Hans’s lap. He squeezed her to him and ran his palm over her ass.

“We’ve never dated a woman seriously. We’ve always been involved in the military or more recently working on settling down here in Casper.
